I dunno whether this should be listed under schools or police but seeing as how the Explorer Scout program is listed as a credit course in the high school, here goes.
Last week end, the Explorer Scouts were enlisted to assist the local police from the lower valley in police training at an elementary school in Grandview. Saturday and Sunday. Our 17 year old was urged to attend and did. When he came home covered body and face with spots and bruises reported that they were caused by beebees fired from guns operated by police and directed at the kids in attendance. No body armor, just plain clothing. One of the police involved stated that this was the 11 time this has been held?
Police training in what? How to generate psychological problems in minors? How could anyone in their right minds consider minor children as targets for hand held weapons? Is this the opening gun (pun intended) in the civilian force Obama says he wants bigger than the military to enforce government? There was no parental involvement, no explanation of what the "exercise" would consist of, no parental permission asked.
Kevin Lusk and Ray Tolcacher have been asked these quetions and no answers are/have been forthcoming. Did receive a fone call from Lusk without explanation just verification that the "exercise" was held.
And we worry about drive by shootings in our neighborhoods??? Where would such an idea be generated? |
