Richland worker helps choking employee

A nuclear security officer at Energy Northwest is being credited with saving the life of a contractor employee.

The employee began choking March 17 while eating lunch in a building at the Columbia Generating Station near Richland.

Sgt. Sean Clizbe, a former Washington State University firefighter, quickly started the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge the food.

Clizbe will be given the Energy Northwest Life Saving Award by Vic Parrish, Energy Northwest chief executive.
