The Shoutbox is a feature that was scripted and integrated into one of the headings for the site. All it is for is providing a "chat room" atmosphere to the blog so that if two people want a more "lively" debate/conversation, they dont have to wait to refresh their browser to see the other persons reply, they can talk instantly amongst themselves in the built in chatroom (i.e. shoutbox)

The shoutbox was interesting to watch as posters figured out how to use it but the Trolls of Prosser apparently killed it. The trolls just can not carry on an intelligent conversation and they must assault all that try. Why Zeus does not ban the trouble makers so others may enjoy this site he created is beyond my comprehension. These trolls enjoy reeking havoc wherever they appear and they will not stop until the end of time I fear. Some good posters have come and gone already due to the confrontational rhetoric the trolls bring to every site they visit.
Oh well, this IS PROSSER, the Benton County SEAT of abhorrent debilitating and disgusting government.

The Shoutbox was removed at this time due to constant name calling on both sides of the spectrum.
